They want to secure energy supplies through 2020 and beyond which will have the effect of improving job prosects in the industry and cutting greenhouse gases. According to their national renewable energy policy the Government believes that climate change is one of the biggest threats we face and that urgent action is needed. We need to use different ways to decarbonise the UK. Renewable energy sources like solar panels in addition to nuclear energy will help the country fulfill its international obligations.
