Wrexham Borough Council has borrowed £28m to install solar panels in a third of its properties. The solar panels are made by Sharp which has one of the largest solar panel factories at the outskirts of the North Wales town. This puts Wrexham near the top of the emmission reduction league in the UK with over 30,000 solar panels installed in 3,000 council houses.
